"The Micronauts are coming!"

"They came from Innerspace"
These two sentences totally changed my childhood!!
In 1977 the Micronauts were a huge presence on Christmas Day for my brother and myself. As I've said before, there were so many great Sci-Fi properties available for my 11-year-old mind's consumption! The Micronauts were up at the top of the list.
A year before I discovered the X-Men...I was a HUGE Micronauts fan.
Fast forward to 1979 and the following image appeared in one of my comics...
To see one of my favorite childhood toys come to life with the wonderful writing skills of Bill Mantlo and the incomparable art of Michael Golden was a thing of dreams!!
Yep, it was true... Marvel Comics was presenting the first Micronauts comics! I was ecstatic and by issue #2...I was beyond hooked.
Now I love my original Micronauts toys, but the toys bore very little resemblance to their comic counterparts. I needed action figures of these characters exactly as they were presented in my Marvel Comics.....Thus began a long waiting game.
It would take almost 45 years but thanks to 3D print technology...I am finally able to hold the Marvel version of the Micronauts in my hands. The characters I so loved as a child are finally a reality!
The Micronauts-a-Month project is exactly what it sounds like...one new Micronauts character per month based on the Marvel Comics appearances in the late '70s and early '80s.
So far, we have completed the first lineup of the team...but there are lots more on the way! We will be diving into the villains, the aliens and even some very obscure characters.
